Rentby adds a rental calendar to your product pages, built for stores that rent out what they own: dresses, party and event gear, cameras, bikes, tools and baby gear. Shoppers pick a start and return date, see the price and deposit, and pay in your normal checkout. Rentby counts every unit you own, so a date is only offered while one is free, and every rental is checked again at checkout.

Choose StarterA rental is one rental line on a new order, counted per calendar month in your store’s time zone. Settings, rental items and blackout dates are never metered. Over your plan’s figure, online rentals pause until the 1st or until you upgrade; rentals already booked carry on. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial. Want it set up for you? Frequently asked questions
Why use Rentby instead of paying a developer to build it?
A custom build is yours to maintain. When Shopify changes checkout, its APIs or how themes work, someone has to update it, and with custom code that is your developer, on your bill. With Rentby we maintain it for you. Updates and new features are included on every plan, Free included, and support is included too: email support@dropfeed.io and the people who build the app answer. There is nothing to pay up front, and the block sits in Shopify’s theme editor, so editing or updating your theme does not overwrite it.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
No. Rentby works on every Shopify plan, with Shopify’s own checkout.
Does Rentby change my checkout?
No. Shoppers pay in Shopify’s own checkout, and Shopify Payments, discount codes and your other apps keep working. Rentby sets the rental price, adds the deposit line and checks the dates.
Can a product be double booked?
No. Rentby only offers dates with a free unit, checks every rental again at checkout, and checks once more when the order arrives.
What happens when an order is cancelled, refunded or edited?
The units are freed straight away, and those dates open up for other shoppers.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free covers 10 rentals a month with every rental feature, deposits included. Starter ($19/mo) covers 75 and adds local delivery and receipt printer slips, Pro ($49/mo) 300 and Scale ($99/mo) unlimited.
